Oversized Iroko Pivot Front Door

A statement entrance for a modern home: an oversized pivot door in solid iroko that turns on a central axis instead of hanging on side hinges. Pivot doors can be much wider and taller than a standard front door and still open with one hand, which makes the entrance feel generous and architectural.

The leaf is clad in vertical iroko boards with fine shadow gaps, and the fixed side panels and frame were made from the same timber so the grain flows across the whole opening. Matt black hardware and a slim lock keep the face of the door clean.
