Entrance & Exterior Doors

Entrance and exterior doors made for Cyprus sun, rain and sea air: wood-clad security doors, garden doors and wooden garage doors, measured and fitted by experienced craftsmen.

What we make

Entrance doors that welcome guests and keep the weather out

Your front door is the first thing visitors notice and the one door that has to face sun, wind-driven rain and, near the coast, salt air every day. Our craftsmen help you choose a door that looks right for your home and is built to cope with these conditions.

Door options

  • Wood-clad security doors — a steel security core with multi-point locking, faced with timber or veneer panels so you get security and warmth together
  • Solid timber front doors in durable hardwoods such as iroko or oak, finished with UV-resistant coatings
  • Garden and patio doors in timber, single or double, with glazing options
  • Wooden garage doors — side-hung, up-and-over or timber-clad sectional doors that match the house

Protecting timber outdoors

South- and west-facing doors in Cyprus can see intense sun all afternoon. We recommend hardwoods or thermally modified timber, quality exterior oils or microporous paints, and a canopy or overhang where possible. Your craftsman will explain how often the finish needs maintaining so the door keeps looking good.

Traditional and modern homes

For village houses we can make doors in the traditional Cypriot style with panels and studs; for modern villas we offer flush, pivot and oversized doors with concealed hinges and long bar handles.

How it works

Cyprus Woodworks connects you with a vetted joinery workshop in your area that makes and fits exterior doors. A free site visit comes first, then a written quote covering door, frame, locks and installation.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need — photos of the current door and opening, plus style ideas.
  2. Free site visit — measurement, check of the frame and wall, discussion of security and finishes.
  3. Quote — door, frame, locks, glazing and installation itemised in writing.
  4. Production — the door is made or the security core ordered and clad in the workshop.
  5. Installation — old door removed, new door fitted, sealed and adjusted.

Typical lead time: Typically 4–8 weeks. Security doors with custom cladding and solid hardwood doors can take longer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a wooden front door cost in Cyprus?

It depends on construction, security level, timber, size and glazing. Our price guide shows current ranges set by our team. After a free site visit you receive a written quote covering the door, frame, locks and fitting.

Which wood is best for an exterior door in Cyprus?

Durable hardwoods such as iroko, or thermally modified timber, cope best with strong sun and humidity. A good exterior finish and regular maintenance matter as much as the species.

What is a wood-clad security door?

It has a steel core with a multi-point locking system, faced with timber or veneer panels. You get the security of a steel door with the look of a wooden one.

How often does a wooden front door need maintenance?

Doors facing strong sun usually need the finish refreshed every one to three years depending on exposure and the coating used. Your craftsman will advise for your specific door.

Can you make a traditional Cypriot-style door?

Yes. Craftsmen in our network can make panelled doors in the traditional style for village houses and restorations, as well as modern flush and pivot doors.
