Windows & Shutters

Wooden windows and traditional Cypriot shutters made to measure, plus restoration of existing windows and shutters, by craftsmen who know timber in the Cyprus climate.

What we make

Wooden windows and shutters with character

Timber windows and louvred shutters are part of the character of Cypriot architecture, from village houses in the Troodos foothills to listed buildings in old Nicosia. Today they are also chosen for modern villas because nothing else gives the same warmth and natural ventilation.

What we offer

  • Wooden windows — casement and tilt-and-turn windows in hardwood or engineered timber, with double glazing
  • Traditional Cypriot shutters — louvred or panelled shutters in classic colours, made to measure for each opening
  • Window and shutter restoration — repairing rotten sections, replacing louvres, stripping and refinishing, and refitting hardware

Built for sun and salt air

Exterior timber in Cyprus works hard. Craftsmen select durable species or engineered timber, use joints and profiles that shed water, and apply microporous paints or stains that let the wood breathe while protecting it from UV. Stainless or brass hardware is recommended near the coast.

Restoration before replacement

Many old shutters can be saved. Restoring original windows keeps the look of a traditional home and is often more economical than full replacement. Your craftsman will tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

Frequently asked questions

How much do wooden shutters cost in Cyprus?

Prices depend on size, timber, louvre style and finish. Our price guide shows current ranges set by our team. A free site visit gives you an exact written quote.

Can my old wooden shutters be restored?

Often yes. Rotten sections can be spliced, louvres replaced and the shutters stripped and refinished. The craftsman will advise whether restoration or replacement makes more sense.

Are wooden windows suitable for houses near the sea?

Yes, with the right timber, profiles that shed water, microporous finishes and stainless or brass hardware. Regular maintenance keeps them in good condition.

Do wooden windows come with double glazing?

Yes. Modern timber windows are made with double glazing, and options such as low-e or laminated glass are available.

How often should wooden shutters be repainted?

It depends on sun exposure and the finish used. Shutters facing strong sun may need attention every few years; your craftsman will advise.
